It's that time of year my buffalo peeps! The 17th annual Mardi Gras - Buffalo Style falls on the 21st of this year. All of the proceeds are donated to Give for Greatness!This city wide party is host to party goers who
take to the streets on their bicycles which lead over 30 floats down Elmwood Avenue. People are encouraged to dress as fun and creative as possible!
Bars along elmwood and allentown will be open for the festivities and look forward to seeing all of you lovely people in attendence!
So why do we celebrate Mardi Gras?
Mardi Gras refers to events of the Carnival celebrations, beginning on on the day before Ash Wednesday. Mardi gras is French for Fat Tuesday, referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lent season, which begins on Ash Wednesday.
